Golfing around the apartment

If you fancy golf in Spain, this area of the Costa Almeria has plenty of choice.

There are several golf courses nearby, just short driving distances away.

There is also a sports centre opposite the nearby Puerto Rey commercial centre, which includes a driving range, gym crazy golf and cafe. This is in walking distance of the apartment and if you do not wish to carry your clubs, they do have loan clubs.

Desert Springs


The Indiana course at Desert Springs is the first and only desert course in Europe. It has been built to the full USGA specifications and quality standards of the now famous desert courses of Arizona and California. The contrast between the beautifully prepared and manicured playing areas and the acrid yet vividly coloured desert captures the essence of why golf is different at Desert Springs.

Marina Golf Course

Has two distinct halves! The first 3 holes are on a plateau overlooking the sea with spectacular views. You are then treated to one of the most spectacular golf holes in Spain, the Par five 4th hole, as you climb the rocks you are left to play another 10 holes in a truly peaceful valley. Its then back to the beach view plateau for the remaining holes.

Valle del Este

Is between Vera & the motorway.
It offers wide fairways, elevated tees, receptive greens with a wide range of flag positions, as well as strategically-positioned water hazards and bunkers to make each hole an authentic challenge regardless of your standard of play.
Cortijo Grande Golf course
 Cortijo Grande is a public 9 hole course set in the foothills of the mountians, just outside Turre. The course is unique and is strongly recommended to those who enjoy a round of golf in nature and can do without all the luxury of todays new golf resort in Andalucia. The course is set in the valley at the foot of the Sierra Cabrera and is laid out across lemon, orange and olive tree plantations right next to the little local town.
